Answers to common questions about our windows and doors.
uPVC windows offer better thermal insulation (Uf values of 0.9–1.2 W/m²K) and suit residential applications. Aluminium windows have slimmer profiles, higher structural strength, and are preferred for oversized or commercial projects. Engelberg manufactures both systems — the choice depends on the architectural requirements.
Installing 5–8 windows in a standard apartment takes 1–2 working days. The full cycle from site survey to completed installation is typically 2–3 weeks: measurement (1 day), production (10–14 days), delivery and installation (1–2 days). For larger projects the schedule is agreed individually at quote stage.
For the Uzbekistan climate (up to +40 °C in summer, down to −15 °C in winter) a Uw value below 1.0 W/m²K is recommended. This significantly reduces energy consumption and prevents condensation. Engelberg's Termo 85 and Termo 98 systems meet this standard and are suited for energy-efficient homes.
Engelberg uPVC profiles carry a 10-year warranty, hardware (handles, hinges) 5 years, and the insulating glass unit a 3-year seal warranty. Installation workmanship is covered for 2 years. The warranty is documented in the contract and serviced by our in-house support team.
1) Measure the opening width at three points (top, middle, bottom) and use the smallest value. 2) Measure the height on the left, centre, and right. 3) Final size is 1 cm less than the smallest reading on each side (installation gap). 4) For an accurate survey, request our specialist — the service is free. This approach yields a perfect fit in 99 % of cases.
Replacing one window in a room takes 2–4 hours. A standard 3-room apartment (5–6 windows) is finished in a single working day. Removal of the old unit, installation of the new one, sealing, and adjustment are done in one operation. Furniture stays in place — we apply protective covers.

Triplex is a safety glass made of two or three layers bonded with a PVB interlayer. When broken, it does not shatter into shards — making it child-safe. Triplex is required for: ground-floor windows, balcony doors, glass floors and partitions, and commercial buildings where both thermal performance and impact resistance matter.
Engelberg manufactures three main systems: Termo 80 (5-chamber, Uf 1.1 W/m²K — residential), Termo 98 (6-chamber, Uf 0.8 W/m²K — passive-house standard), and the BKH 65 aluminium series (thermally broken, slim-frame). All systems conform to DIN EN 14351 and carry the RAL quality mark.
